Parish Nursing
A big thank you to all those of you who completed the Congregational Health Needs Survey.
47 forms were completed.
Several topics got more than a 50% interest rate and these included:-
• Nutrition and Exercise
• End of life issues
• Diabetes
• Stress management and mental health issues
• Pain management.
It is envisaged that there will be a series of talks given next year covering
these subjects. More information will be given in next months KSN.
Most of you felt that the Parish Nurse should be available to the Church and Community.
Half thought that health information should be given in this magazine and a good number
would like information on a notice board.
There is a board in the Small Hall which is already being used for this purpose.
I will endeavour to change it every month, so do go and look at it regularly.
This is the time of the year for colds and 'flu. To help protect yourself
and your family do eat lots of fruit and vegetables to boost your vitamin C levels.
I will be available for blood pressure checks and/or advice at the following
times during January:-
Tuesday 8th
10.00-12.00hrs
Fridays 4th ,11th ,18th ,25th 10.00-12.00hrs
Sunday 20th after the morning service-12.30 pm
All these sessions are held in Room 1 (the Lounge)
